Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Inc. is seeking a Hospital Specimen Technician in Marietta, OH. Work hours are Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with rotational weekends.

Base pay starts at $17.20+ per hour, with potential shift differentials for second and third shifts. Responsibilities include specimen processing, test send-out, and ensuring accurate data entry. The role requires 1–3 years of experience and a high school diploma; hospital LIS knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in test ordering policies and hospital processing procedures.
• Knowledge of Hospital LIS system (client specific).
• Print Quest performed testing reports.
• Interpret specimen flow/tracking data using reports and resources.
• Responsible for supply ordering processes.
• Performs remote accessioning (pre-accessioning).
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with specimen types and client information.
• Liaise between customer and Quest to provide proactive support.
• Manage inbound calls with positive client interactions.
• Coordinate with hospital staff and Quest sales team on testing requirements and billing.
