Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX seeks a Night Shift Specimen Processor to prepare and verify specimens for testing. You will enter specimen data in the LIS and ensure proper routing to the correct department.

Responsibilities include labeling, tracking, and dispatching specimens while maintaining patient confidentiality and specimen integrity. Prior specimen processing experience is preferred; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous specimen processing experience preferred.
• Ability to maintain specimen integrity and follow protocols.

Responsibilities

• Label and process patient specimens accurately.
• Dispatch specimens to main lab or testing facilities as required.
• Maintain specimen requirements and confidentiality at all times.
• Assist with loading/unloading and tracking specimens within LIS/EPIC Beaker.
