Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Lab Assistant to support a client’s medical facility in Irving, TX. The Specimen Processor/Lab Assistant will perform basic processing tasks, data entry, and deliver specimens to the laboratory with accuracy.

Requirements include a HS diploma; no experience is required, though medical background is preferred. The role offers a 3+ month assignment with extension possibilities and a $19/hr pay rate on W-2, with shifts Tue-Sat and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Data entry background is required.
• No prior experience required but laboratory experience is a plus.
• Medical background preferred which includes medical terminology related to clinical labs.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen processing tasks (A-station, presort, pickup/delivery of processed specimens).
• Handle imaging/microfilming, centrifugation and aliquoting with accuracy.
• Learn and adhere to compliance regulations related to test ordering, which may change daily.
• Work shifts with flexibility; nights and weekends as required.
