Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician to perform decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of instruments for the Central Sterile Supplies department in Worcester, MA. You will work evenings in a 40-hour schedule with potential for a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include maintaining safety and organization, adhering to infection control practices, and supporting leadership.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of sterilization standards and terminology.
• Proficiency with basic computer functions.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrollment in CS Processing Technician program required or in progress.
• Certification within one year of employment required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, inspect/assemble, and sterilize instruments per policy and IFU.
• Record and route instruments for sterilization or HLD as directed.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized workspace and inventory control.
• Support Sterile Processing leadership and take charge when senior staff are unavailable.
