Job summary

Aventura Sailing Association Inc seeks a talented Sous Chef to work with the Executive Chef, crafting innovative menus and preparing meals for our members-only sailing club. You will maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and lead a capable team during service.

Shift schedule is Thursday to Sunday with late afternoons and evenings. The ideal candidate has extensive culinary experience, a strong leadership presence, and holds relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Extensive culinary experience required.
• Culinary school certification preferred.
• ServeSafe or Food Handler’s Certification preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques and recipes preferred.
• Ability to remain calm and thrive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and plate food according to kitchen specifications.
• Assist Executive Chef with kitchen operations with a goal of increasing revenue and profit.
• Supervise and coordinate all food preparation and presentation.
• Follow all food safety rules and regulations.
