Job summary

Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services is seeking a full-time Shift Supervisor for the University of North Alabama in Florence, Alabama. The role supports the dining program with evening hours from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm, Monday through Friday, with weekend availability.

Qualifications

• Prior food service experience is a plus.
• ServSafe certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of associates during a shift and ensure completion of duties per policy.
• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate performance, reward high performers, and address underperformance.
• Prepare production or sales reports and ensure quality, productivity and safety.
• Act as point of contact for employee requests and time-off approvals.
• Mentor employees and encourage advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
