Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pass a nationally accredited central service exam and maintain one of the listed credentials.
• Six months experience in processing/sterilization required; CEU credits yearly.
• Alternate criteria include surgical technology training or military equivalents.

Responsibilities

• Wash and decontaminate instruments and equipment.
• Retrieve, set up, test and distribute instruments for OR & L&D.
• Assemble, wrap and sterilize house, general and specialty trays.
• Operate, document cycles and ensure QA of reprocessing equipment.
• Manage exchange, par level, case and specialty cart inventories.
