Job summary

Karman Space & Defense seeks a Production Technician to work across composite fabrication areas, tape wrapping, cutting, and molding, ensuring quality and conformance to drawings. The role emphasizes hands-on assembly, measurement with precision tools, and adherence to ISO 9001/AS9100 standards.

This position requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long periods, and operate in a second-shift schedule.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of experience in production preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Experience with ISO 9001/AS9100 standards.
• Repetitive motion and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders/travelers when scheduled to be finalized.
• Follow ISO 9001/AS9100 standards in production.
• Understand production processes including tape wrapping, cutting, compression molding and hand layup of composites.
• Measure and visually inspect products for surface and dimensional defects using precision instruments.
• Mix and measure resin and adhesive.
• Adjust oven temperature controls as required.
• Review blueprints or instructions to determine methods/sequences.
• Maintain production or processing equipment.
• Stand for the majority of the shift; perform related physical tasks.
