Job summary

Penn State Health Community Hospital is seeking a part-time Community Hospital Registration Associate to support the revenue cycle for both inpatient and outpatient services. The role secures all information needed to accurately pre-register and register patients, and ensures the correct visit is billed in the system.

Evening shift with a $2.00/hour differential, hours are evenings and every other weekend. The position includes tuition discounts for employees and eligible dependents starting Jan

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Six months minimum in a customer service setting required.
• Medical health insurance knowledge preferred.
• Medical terminology Revenue Cycle experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secure information to accurately pre-register and register patients.
• Verify insurance and benefits and ensure correct visit in the billing system.
• Review regulatory requirements for admissions, observations, ED visits and outpatient services.
• Collaborate with Revenue Cycle team across hospital settings.
