Job summary

Airgas, Inc. in Cheshire, CT is hiring a Second Shift Manager to oversee evening operations at the Cheshire plant.

You will direct fillers and loaders, plan production schedules, and ensure shuttle trucks are loaded accurately and on time, while collaborating with 1st shift management and the lab team to maximize order fulfillment. You will lead safety and SOP compliance on the floor, supervise the second shift team, coordinate daily production, and ensure smooth handovers with the 1st shift to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Excellent communication to collaborate with management and floor staff.
• Strong customer-centric approach to ensure delivery and quality.
• Willingness and ability to perform manual tasks on the plant floor.
• Minimal travel required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee second shift: direct fillers and loaders.
• Plan daily production schedules optimized for second shift.
• Coordinate with shuttles: load and dispatch trucks on time.
• Coordinate handovers with 1st shift to maintain continuous production and OFR.
• Collaborate with lab manager to test, clear, and prepare products for shipment.
• Enforce safety and SOP compliance on the floor.
