Job summary

Heimes Corp. in Omaha, NE is seeking a qualified mechanic for the 2nd shift (3PM-Midnight) to repair equipment/vehicles and perform general maintenance.

The role requires own tools, a valid driver’s license, and ability to work on a wide range of equipment including Ford, Kenworth, International, Western Star, CASE, CAT, John Deere and Komatsu. The position offers full-time or part-time hours with overtime negotiable; DOT and safety regulations apply.

Qualifications

• Own tools and a valid driver’s license required.
• Experience with a wide range of equipment/vehicles.
• Be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and DOT regulations.
• 2nd shift with some overtime negotiable and must work the night shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure trucks are ready to be out the door first thing in the morning.
• Repair brakes, lights, electrical, tarps, and services; perform general maintenance.
• Delegate work and supervise 1–4 other employees; report issues to shop manager.
• Perform repairs personally as part of the role; maintain safety standards.
