Job summary

Sapp Bros., Inc. is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic Technician for the night shift in Omaha, Nebraska. The role focuses on inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty tractors and trailers, providing diesel repair services, and delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED, preferred.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of related automotive or diesel experience.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical problems.
• Willingness to undergo a criminal background and employment reference check.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical, electrical, and other defects in heavy-duty semi-tractors and trailers.
• Provide a full range of diesel repair and maintenance services.
• Ensure customer needs are met in a professional, timely, and efficient manner.
• Replace and balance tires, following established procedures.
• Repair or replace starters, generators, and universal joints.
• Adjust and/or replace brakes.
• Discuss service and repair problems with customers when necessary.
• Perform emergency repairs in the field.
• Assist in training and advancing other team members.
• Operate service truck and provide roadside repairs, including tires.
