Job summary

KMC Stampings in Port Washington, WI is seeking a Manufacturing Lead to drive production efficiency and safety while coordinating with Engineering, Tooling and Quality teams. You’ll coach colleagues to meet delivery dates, enforce standards, and optimize department performance in a fast-paced shop floor environment.

You will lead continuous improvement efforts, train operators on equipment, and ensure adherence to policies while maintaining a safe, productive work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with five years of relevant experience.
• Ability to measure a manufactured part using metrology equipment.
• Exhibits strong leadership skills.
• Operate material handling equipment including cranes, pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Proficient math, reading and computer skills; MS Office preferred.
• Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of GD&T preferred; interpret part prints.
• Team-oriented and able to work overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment and maintain an organized work area.
• Promote and enforce quality procedures and use defined measuring equipment.
• Train employees on department equipment, processes, and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with staff and supervisory personnel.
• Assign daily work and re-allocate resources to meet priorities.
• Support continuous improvement activities and corrective actions.
• Work with Purchasing, Planning, Tool Room, Maintenance to ensure readiness.
