Job summary

PepsiCo in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Supply Chain Leader to guide a front-line team and drive safe, efficient manufacturing operations. You will oversee daily performance, coach staff, and collaborate across functions to meet safety, quality, service, cost, and continuous improvement goals.

The role emphasizes hands‑on leadership, developing talent, adapting production plans, and leading change while maintaining PepsiCo's safety culture and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Preferably in engineering, business, operations management, or similar field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing preferred, preferably food/beverage.
• Leadership experience preferred, including supervising employees, coaching and developing team members, managing schedules, and driving day‑to‑day performance.
• Must possess strong TPM or lean manufacturing, finance and accounting, project management, human relations, effective communications, and statistics/logical problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
• Ability to lead a team‑based approach to decision making.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a results‑oriented, challenging environment.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring and development.

Responsibilities

• Optimize operational efficiencies to support the facility’s production, packaging, warehousing, and shipping operations.
• Optimize ingredient and packaging material used to minimize waste.
• Ensure operational practices are followed to control inventories.
• Maintain product quality and sanitation standards.
• Flex production plans on a shift‑by‑shift basis to prevent service issues and inefficiencies.
• Coordinate operations improvements to deliver the site annual operating plan (AOP) and allocate resources.
• Lead front‑line hourly personnel through hiring, training, and communication.
• Manage direct reports through reviews, coaching, and development plans.
• Develop team to solve day‑to‑day issues and reach short‑ and long‑term goals.
• Deliver effective change leadership and communicate cross‑functionally to solve issues.
• Motivate team members to achieve plan goals and uphold safety culture.
• Coach for safe behaviors and continuous improvement in profitability margins and cost savings.
