Qualifications

• Education from an accredited nursing program resulting in LPN licensure.
• Current LPN license in the state of employment.
• CPR and AED certification or willingness to obtain within six months.
• IV certification or willingness to obtain within six months.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Ability to assess basic nursing needs of geriatric residents.
• Excellent communication with residents, visitors, and staff.
• Time management and organization are essential.
• Ability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assist in resident assessments on admission and ongoing basis.
• Document assessments accurately and communicate changes to the IDT and families.
• Update care plans and implement nursing interventions and orders.
• Administer medications and treatments safely and timely; IV administration if certified.
• Maintain composure during crises and participate in QAPI-driven problem resolution.
• Complete required continuing education and stay current with Bethesda's policies.
