Job summary

Trinity Health in Central City, KY is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide resident care and support the plan of care under physician guidance. Evening shifts, 2-10pm, on a rotating basis.

The LPN will use the nursing process to assess patients, implement interventions, and supervise care to ensure safety and well-being. Requires graduation from an approved nursing program and an active LPN license (Iowa). This is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• Graduate of approved nursing school.
• Current LPN license in State of Iowa.
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (AHA).
• Dependent Adult Mandatory reporter training.
• Recertification every 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing process: patient assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementing interventions, evaluation.
• Executes regimen prescribed by physician within nursing practice guidelines.
• Performs and supervises activities within LPN scope; seeks assistance when beyond scope.
• Provides leadership in supervising others in carrying out the nursing process.
• Utilize nursing process to assess and care for patients.
