Job summary

Lakeview Hospital in Stillwater, MN seeks a Registered Nurse for the General Resource Team (Float Pool). You will assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate nursing care, providing direction to unlicensed staff and ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.

You will participate in diagnostic and treatment procedures and effectively communicate with patients and families. The position requires MN or WI RN licensure, BLS, NRP within 6 months, and STABLE within 1 year.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (or equivalent).
• RN license in Minnesota or Wisconsin (Board of Nursing or Boarder State Registry).
• Refresher course required if re-entering nursing practice with <520 hours in past 4 years.
• Current BLS – American Heart Association or American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider).
• NRP certification within 6 months of start date.
• STABLE certification within 1 year of start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, perform, document, and evaluate professional independent nursing practice.
• Provide work direction for and oversight of unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Carry out practitioner orders and document appropriately.
• Assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures.
• Provide a safe and therapeutic environment; coordinate care with patient, family, and health professionals.
• Explain and interpret patient care services to patients and families.
