Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services Technician I to perform daily cleaning of patient rooms and related areas, stock paper supplies, and assist with discharge cleaning.

You will use approved cleaning techniques, proper chemicals, and equipment, follow infection control practices, and contribute to a safe, welcoming environment for patients and visitors. A high school diploma or equivalent and about 2 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• No licensure or certification required.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of patient rooms and discharge areas.
• Supply rooms with paper products and maintain supplies.
• Demonstrates proper cleaning techniques, solutions, and tools.
• Perform terminal cleaning and discharge cleaning using procedures.
• Follow infection control practices to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Fill in to support other areas as needed.
