Job summary

Akron Children’s Hospital Environmental Services is accepting applicants for the Environmental Services Technician I role. The position focuses on daily cleaning of patient rooms and ancillary areas, stocking supplies, and promoting a positive guest experience.

Onsite, full-time schedule with evening hours. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma (preferred) and 2 years of relevant experience (preferred).

Qualifications

• Must have strong cleaning skills and knowledge of cleaning products.
• Experience with infection control practices preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Clean patient rooms daily and discharge areas per procedures.
• Stock rooms with paper products and supplies.
• Use appropriate chemicals and cleaning tools for each task.
• Perform terminal cleaning of walls, lights, ceilings, and use UV light when required.
• Maintain high QA scores and promote a positive image of the hospital.
• Support other service areas to ensure operational efficiency.
• Follow all written and verbal instructions and perform additional duties as assigned.
