Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in a designated inpatient specialty area.
• Gathers data and interprets information to plan and implement care.
• Develops and revises patient care plans and nursing actions.
• Documents patient progress toward outcomes.
• Directs and supervises delegated nursing activities.
• Teaches patients and families about the plan of care.
• Prepares patients for discharge, transfer, or procedures/tests.
• Manages time and resources to deliver care.
• Administers medications to patients.
