Job summary
MaineHealth is seeking a Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department on a full-time, 36-hour evening shift at Mid Coast Hospital. The role emphasizes rapid assessment, planning and execution of patient care, with collaboration across care teams to ensure high-quality outcomes.
The RN will provide care for patients of all ages, meet licensure requirements, and maintain certifications within designated timeframes.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
- License/Certifications: Current RN license; BLS required or to be obtained within 30 days.
- ACLS and PALS required within 1 year for ICU/SCU/ED/PACU RNs; NRP for OB/NICU within 1 year.
- One year of RN experience preferred.
- Annual Electronic Fetal Monitoring competency for Labor & Delivery RNs.
Responsibilities
- Provide high quality patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of outcomes.
- Collaborate and communicate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal care.
- Delegate and coordinate care with other team members as needed.
