Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary certification or degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting. Experience with special diets and dietary restrictions is a plus.
• Physical requirements: lift/move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; collaborative with healthcare professionals and residents’ families.
• Ability to lift and transfer residents as needed and maintain stamina for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to planned menus and dietary guidelines.
• Menu Adherence: Follow standardized recipes and portion control.
• Kitchen Safety: Maintain cleanliness and sanitation per health regulations.
