Job summary

Sanford Health is seeking a part-time Nursing Assistant for an evening shift in Minnesota. The role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, vital signs, and mobility under RN supervision, with a focus on resident-centered care in long-term settings.

Eligible CNAs can receive a $3,500 sign-on bonus; additional shift and weekend incentives apply. 48 bi-weekly hours, 2:00pm–10:30pm, every other weekend and rotating holidays.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, not required.
• Minimum age 16.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing required, or certification in process within 4 months.
• Annual continuing education: minimum 12 hours.
• UAP Registry (where applicable) in some states.
• May classify as Sanford Category II Driver depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic health care needs including activities of daily living and vital signs.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and mobility using proper techniques.
• Support meals and dining, plus hydration and nutrition support.
• Assist with procedures alongside nursing staff as needed.
• Document resident interactions and care outcomes.
• Communicate changes in resident condition to charge nurse.
• Collect non-invasive specimens and vital signs.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry support to residents.
• Encourage participation in wellness and recreational activities.
