Job summary

Sanford Health in Minnesota is seeking a Nursing Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care in a long-term care setting under RN supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and support meals, hygiene, and mobility.

The role emphasizes infection prevention, safety, and teamwork with the nursing staff. A valid CNA certification is required; facility training is provided. Eligible candidates include 16+ with GED preferred and a commitment to ongoing education.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum age 16; prior CNA experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing required or in process to obtain.
• Annual continuing education minimum of 12 hours.
• State CNA certification or endorsement process as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities and basic health care needs.
• Record vital signs and provide psychosocial support.
• Assist residents with meals, hydration, and dining experiences.
• Support transfers, mobility, range of motion and safety.
• Document care and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Provide housekeeping and laundry support and participate in programs.
