Job summary

St. Joseph of the Pines in Southern Pines, North Carolina, is seeking a Security and Transportation Officer for full-time night shift. You will ensure a safe campus environment and provide secure transportation for residents to appointments and activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid license with a safe driving record.
• Medical First Responder Class or CENA license preferred.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric population preferred.
• Superior customer service and professionalism.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.
• Interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork with residents.
• Strong accountability, responsibility and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to plan, organize and interpret programs, goals, and procedures.
• Ability to transfer residents on/off bus and to appointments.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment on campus.
• Transport residents in a company vehicle to scheduled appointments and activities.
• Assist residents with mobility challenges, ensuring comfort and safety during transportation.
• Maintain the vehicle by performing routine cleaning, preventative maintenance, and refueling.
• Collaborate with staff and residents to coordinate transportation schedules.
• Respond to safety concerns promptly and professionally, fostering a calm and welcoming environment.
