Job summary

The Legendary Galt House Hotel seeks a qualified 2nd Shift Security Supervisor for 3 PM-11 PM to oversee safety and security of guests, associates and premises in Louisville. You will train Officers, monitor staff, and ensure timely reporting of incidents.

Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, patrolling with surveillance, and maintaining daily activity records while delivering professional guest service and enforcing policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Security role required.
• Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications required.
• Certification in CPR First Aid desired.
• Must possess a professional presentation.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
• Highly responsible & reliable.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team.
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the overall safety and security of the hotel guests, associates and hotel premises.
• Oversee comprehensive training for new Officers.
• Monitor staff performance and activities.
• Complete several types of reports on a daily basis.
• Identify and correct, or report potentially hazardous conditions or situations.
• Respond to emergency situations in a timely manner in cases of fire, accident and safety concerns.
• Patrol the property and monitor surveillance equipment for suspicious activity.
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service.
• Ensure that any violations to law or hotel policy is investigated and reported.
• Correct and report any fire hazards or health and safety hazards.
• Report and investigate occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity, and crisis situations.
• Conduct departmental key control audits and maintain key control records.
• Maintain computer records of all actions in a Daily Activity Report.
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way.
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards.
• Follow all safety policies.
• Other duties as assigned
