The Legendary Galt House Hotel in Louisville, KY seeks a 2nd Shift Security Supervisor (3 PM–11 PM) to lead security operations and ensure the safety of guests and associates. You will oversee training, monitor performance, and manage incident reporting in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Responsibilities include responding to emergencies, patrolling, enforcing hotel policies, and maintaining security records. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred, and a professional demeanor is required.

Job description

The Legendary Galt House Hotel is looking for a qualified individual to assume the role of a 2nd Shift Security Supervisor during the hours of (3 PM- 11 PM). The criteria for this position is as follows:

Job Description

• Ensure the overall safety and security of the hotel guests, associates and hotel premises
• Oversee comprehensive training for new Officers
• Monitor staff performance and activities
• Complete several types of reports on a daily basis
• Identify and correct, or report potentially hazardous conditions or situations
• Respond to emergency situations in a timely manner in cases of fire, accident and safety concerns
• Patrol the property and monitor surveillance equipment for suspicious activity
• Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
• Ensure that any violations to law or hotel policy is investigated and reported
• Correct and report any fire hazards or health and safety hazards
• Report and investigate occurrences of accidents, complaints, criminal activity, and crisis situations
• Conduct departmental key control audits and maintain key control records
• Maintain computer records of all actions in a Daily Activity Report
• Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
• Follow all safety policies

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Security role required
• Computer literate in Microsoft Window applications required
• Certification in CPR First Aid desired
• Must possess a professional presentation
• Strong interpersonal and problem- solving abilities
• Highly responsible & reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
• Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
