Job summary

Rock Security in Detroit, MI, seeks a Security Operator to gather information and act on threats to personnel, assets, image, and reputation while driving safety for the Rock Family of Companies.

Responsibilities include gathering information from open sources, creating incident reports, coordinating with law enforcement, managing dispatch, and monitoring camera surveillance across 180+ assets.

Qualifications

• Availability to work 24/7 including weekends and holidays.
• 2 years of experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related experience.
• Experience operating video surveillance systems.

Responsibilities

• Gather information from open-source locations and media outlets.
• Create, review and edit incident management reports for leadership.
• Handle high-stress situations, crisis management and emergency communications.
• Collaborate with security and law enforcement partners on investigations and dispatch.
• Manage multiple email boxes and properly categorize emails.
• Complete camera surveillance investigations and identify suspicious activity.
• Operate surveillance systems to monitor assets and properties.
• Route escalated calls and surveillance requests to leadership.
• Monitor 180+ assets via access control programs and related events.
• Assist with tenant requests related to buildings and parking.
• Conduct open-source background investigations including social media deep dives.
