Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is seeking a full-time College Hill Protective Services officer for the evening shift at the College Hill Campus. You will monitor traffic, escort individuals, and control access while supporting patient and staff safety.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and completion of TCI training within six months. Weekly hours are 40, with a starting hourly pay of $18.66–$22.89 and potential shift differentials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Valid driver’s license.
• TCI training/certification within 6 months of employment start date.
• Physical strength, stamina, agility, and ability to safely perform required tasks (standing, walking, lifting up to 30 pounds).

Responsibilities

• Investigation - Respond to, investigate, and problem solve routine complaints reported by patients, parents, visitors and employees.
• Monitor - Direct traffic within Cincinnati Children's and control parking; escort and direct to/from parking areas; manage access to the Medical Center.
• Assist clinical staff with patient restraint and monitor potentially combative patients.
• Patrol - Patrol buildings and grounds by vehicle, foot, and bike; ensure only authorized personnel are admitted; badge visitors and report hazards.
• Visitor Management - Manage visitor access and communicate policy; provide badges and access as needed.
