Job summary

Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance seeks a Security Officer (Level II) to maintain a safe, secure campus and protect guests, staff, and animals. You will patrol grounds, monitor CCTV and access control, respond to emergencies, and document incidents while ensuring a welcoming guest experience.

Applicants should have 1–2 years in security or related fields; non‑profit experience is a plus. Weekend and holiday availability is required; bilingual Spanish/English encouraged.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in civilian or military security, safety, loss prevention, or law enforcement.
• Experience in a high‑volume, customer‑focused environment or non‑profit setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct frequent and visible patrols across the DZCA campus and identify hazards or security concerns.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, and other security technologies per policy.
• Respond to emergencies and document incidents with concise reports.
• Assist with snow and ice removal and support security operations as needed.
