Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN is seeking a Security Officer I to ensure the safety of the campus, staff, patients, and visitors. This role monitors security systems, conducts patrols, and enforces policies to deter unauthorized access and respond to incidents.

Schedule is 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with rotating days off. Requires a high school diploma and at least 6 months of security experience; must obtain Tennessee license within 60 days and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months of security-related experience required.
• Must attain Licensed Security Guard/Officer certification for the State of Tennessee within 60 days of employment.
• Background checks and driving record clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems and conduct regular patrols across the premises.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies and enforce security policies.
• Issue personnel badges and parking hangtags and support badge management actions.
• Maintain daily reports with observations, signatures, and relevant information.
• Assist with employee terminations in accordance with policy.
