The Cypress of Charlotte is recruiting a hospitality driven Security Guard to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This full-time role ensures a safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff by verifying scheduled presence of employees and contractors on the grounds.

Daily rounds, emergency response, and incident reporting are key duties. The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, English proficiency, and teamwork. Competitive benefits accompany long-term employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic.
• Must be able to make decisions quickly and in accordance with established protocol.
• Must have or be willing to be trained in first responder and first aid training.
• One-year experience in security preferred.
• Maintains confidentiality per HIPAA and Corporate Compliance.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Makes scheduled rounds to maintain a secure environment for residents and property.
• Responds to fire alarms and apartment emergency calls.
• Develops and maintains good working rapport with residents, family members, visitors, and personnel.
• Assists with special security needs involving employees and visitors.
• Provides written reports of incidents during the shift.
• Maintains entrances for safe passage and keeps walkways clear after snowstorms.
• Performs duties in priority order as set by supervisor.
