Job summary

Wyngate Elementary School in Bethesda, MD, is seeking a Building Services / Custodial staff member for an evening shift. You will supervise cleaning crews, maintain school facilities, and interact with administrators and community groups as needed.

The role requires basic education (ninth grade) with preference for higher-level diplomas and relevant boiler credentials; uniforms are provided and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of the ninth grade required; HS or GED preferred.
• Experience in cleaning and upkeep of a school building with increasing responsibility.
• Supervisory experience of building service personnel may be required.
• Boiler certificate and stationary engineer's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise workers performing afternoon and evening cleaning duties.
• Interact with school administration, staff and community groups.
• Maintain time and materials records and prepare routine reports.
• Ensure building security procedures are followed.
