Job summary

Brunswick School Department is seeking two full-time custodians to keep district facilities clean, safe, and well-maintained in Brunswick, Maine. Roles include 2:00 pm–10:30 pm shift and 11:00 am–7:30 pm split shift, with pay starting at $28.50 per hour after a 6-month probation and a $1.00 shift differential after 2:00 pm, depending on the school calendar.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/equivalent preferred.
• Valid Maine Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness of buildings, sidewalks, driveways, and play areas.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Must be able to climb ladders to clean or perform maintenance duties.
• Maintain interior and exterior surfaces on schedule.
• Ensure walkways and parking areas are clear and passable.
• Open/close school as required by shift.
• Assist in maintaining inventory of materials.
