Job summary

Independent School District 196 is seeking an Evening Custodian for a 4-hour shift at Rosemount Elementary School. This temporary assignment runs Monday through Friday, 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with anticipated start in November 2026.

Responsibilities include cleaning, minor repairs, moving furniture, securing the building, and supporting the recycling program. Candidates must have a high school diploma and be able to lift up to 50 lbs, communicate well, and work effectively in a diverse school

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• Previous custodial and routine maintenance experience preferred.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions and work independently.
• Must be physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle varied cleaning assignments.
• Ability to communicate clearly with staff, students and the public.

Responsibilities

• Clean assigned building areas and perform minor repairs as directed.
• Move and assemble furniture as needed.
• Assist in securing the building during and after shifts.
• Assist in school recycling program.
