Job summary

Mascoutah School District is seeking an Evening Custodian to help keep Mascoutah Middle School clean, safe and welcoming. The job involves general cleaning, maintenance, and assisting during events, with a 3:00pm–11:30pm schedule, 260 work days per year, and overtime opportunities.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; prior custodial or maintenance experience is desirable; ability to follow written work orders and read/write English; and valid transportation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required or acceptable education level.
• Prior custodial/maintenance experience desirable.
• Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Checks and secures the building at shift start/end.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, cafeterias, restrooms, offices and common areas.
• Sweeps, mops, buffs, strips and waxes floors; cleans carpets and windows.
• Performs light maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
• Assists with setup for events and programs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
