Job summary

General McLane School District seeks a 2nd-Shift Custodian to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming learning environments across district facilities. You will perform routine and specialized custodial duties, assist with facility upkeep, and help prepare buildings for daily operations and activities.

This full-time evening role reports to the Manager – Custodial Services, works Monday–Friday from roughly 3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., and requires teamwork with staff, students, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Ability to work in a team and follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning of assigned rooms, common areas, restrooms, entrances.
• Dust, sweep, vacuum, mop, and replenish supplies.
• Clean and maintain restrooms and fixtures to sanitary standards.
• Dispose of trash and debris properly.
• Respond to spills promptly and perform deep-cleaning as needed.
• Operate custodial equipment safely and maintain stock areas.
• Assist with setup and cleanup for events and activities.
