Job summary

Hopkinton Public School District - Hopkinton Middle School in Hopkinton, MA is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment for students and staff. The role runs 3:00 PM–11:00 PM, is full-time, and offers a wage of $23.14 to $27.20 per hour.

Immediate start preferred with the ability to shovel/sand snow and manage building security and waste disposal. You will be responsible for opening and securing facilities, performing routine cleaning, stocking supplies,

Qualifications

• Physical ability to perform essential functions of the position.
• Ability to read basic operating and use instructions, and write reports.
• Demonstrated aptitude for the successful completion of assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the cleanliness of the building and premises including sidewalks, driveways and play areas at all times.
• Opens the facility at the beginning of each workday at each entrance designated for public use and ensures safe access.
• Secures the facility at close of shift and ensures alarms and exterior lighting are operational.
• Ensures proper disposal of waste and keeps grounds free of debris in compliance with laws and procedures.
• Cleans, maintains, and disinfects floors, corridors, bathrooms, drinking fountains, and glass surfaces.
• Maintains supply inventory and requisitions as needed to avoid delays.
• Distributes educational supplies to locations designated by the Principal.
• Assists in setting up, breaking down and checking in for events; supports others as needed.
• Other duties, as assigned.
