Job summary

Applitrack is seeking an Anticipated Part-Time Evening Custodian at Cedar Mountain Primary School in Vernon Township, NJ. The 7:00 PM–11:00 PM shift supports a safe, clean school environment and involves opening/closing duties and routine maintenance.

Qualified applicants should have knowledge of plant operations, cleaning methods, and safety procedures; a Black Seal License is preferred and a background check plus proof of US citizenship or residency is required.

Qualifications

Black Seal License preferred.
Experience as determined by the board.
Knowledge of plant operation, maintenance, cleaning methods, heating/ventilation, and hazardous materials handling.
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident status.

Responsibilities

Opens/closes the building daily and ensures doors/windows are secured; lights off except safety lighting.
Keeps buildings, sidewalks, driveways, and play areas neat and clean at all times.
Monitors heat, ventilation, and AC to maintain appropriate temperatures and conserve resources.
Checks exit doors and panic hardware during occupancy.
Cleans classrooms, offices, library and staff areas; empties waste baskets daily.
Cleans corridors and bathrooms; replenishes supplies as needed.
Cleans drinking fountains and cafeteria areas; sanitizes fixtures.
Performs groundskeeping and seasonal tasks for safety and appearance.
Performs related duties assigned by head custodian or principal.
