Job summary

Njschooljobs is seeking a dedicated custodian based in Washington, NJ to maintain a clean and safe learning environment. Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, bathrooms, cafeterias, walkways, and assisting with snow removal and furniture movement as directed by the Facilities Manager.

Preferred candidates have custodial experience and strong written/spoken communication. A Low Pressure Black Seal license and zero-turn mower skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Custodial experience preferred; ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Low Pressure Black Seal license preferred.
• Ability to use a zero-turn mower preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and dust classrooms and common areas.
• Sanitize bathrooms, cafeterias, and walkways.
• Perform snow removal and light maintenance tasks.
• Move furniture and equipment as directed by the Facilities Manager.

Description

Perform various custodial tasks as directed by Facilities Manager to maintain a clean and safe learning environment. Tasks include but are not limited to cleaning and dusting classrooms, cleaning and sanitizing bathrooms, cafeterias, and walkways, snow removal, moving furniture/equipment/supplies etc. Any other tasks assigned by the building administrator.

Experience

Custodial experience is preferred, and the ability to effectively communicate with others both orally and in writing.

Low Pressure Black Seal license preferred. Ability to use a zero-turn mower preferred.

Hours: 7:00 am - 3:00 pm Job Type: Full-time Pay: $46,967 - 49,217 per year as per WEA salary guide
