Job summary

ROSS ELEM in Clear Creek ISD, League City, Texas, is seeking an Evening Custodian to support cleaning and maintenance of school facilities. You will perform routine cleaning duties to maintain safety and cleanliness while contributing to the district's mission.

The role requires the ability to operate cleaning equipment, a flexible schedule, and dependable teamwork. Prior custodial experience is preferred, with a willingness to learn and follow established procedures.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, energy management and safety procedures.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment.
• Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies
• Ability to work flexible schedule

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties specific to light duty, restroom, utility and vacuum specialists as part of team cleaning protocol or related to zone cleaning management.
• Maintain a cleaning schedule that includes sweeping and dusting rooms and walls; remove gum, marks, and spills; replace furniture; empty trash; clean chalkboards, doors, and fixtures; sanitize surfaces in classrooms and hallways.
• Maintain an ongoing care program for floors: carpet extraction, mopping, spot removal, sweeping, vacuuming, finishing and buffing.
• Clean and disinfect restroom lavatories, sinks, and dispensers; restrooms’ walls and floors.
• Inspect and clean cafeterias, food labs, gymnasiums, lounges, hallways, restrooms and locker rooms as assigned.
• Inspect, clean and remove trash around exterior athletic areas, bleachers and campus grounds as assigned.
