Job summary

The West Genesee Central School District is hiring a Custodial Worker I for Stonehedge Elementary School. This full-time, twelve-month position runs 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm and involves routine cleaning, equipment operation, minor repairs, and grounds-keeping duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Perform routine cleaning and semi-skilled maintenance tasks.
• Operate and maintain building cleaning equipment.
• Report maintenance needs or concerns to a supervisor.
• Possibly assist with general grounds-keeping tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, waxing, vacuuming and dusting.
• Clean restrooms, walls and fixtures; maintain furniture and surfaces.
• Make minor repairs to building and equipment as needed.
• Move and arrange furniture and equipment for cleaning and events.
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment like buffers and floor scrubbers.
• Support grounds-keeping activities including snow removal or lawn care when required.
• Report maintenance needs to supervisor for action.
