Job summary

Montgomery County Public Schools seeks a Building Services / Custodial worker for Richard Montgomery High School in Rockville. You will perform cleaning and grounds tasks, operate custodial equipment, and assist with safety and security of spaces in an evening shift.

The role demands physical work, lifting up to 50 lbs, and willingness to report to inclement weather. Uniforms are provided; overtime or night work may be required.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of building and grounds practices.
• Ability to operate custodial and grounds equipment.
• Safe use of approved cleaning supplies and chemicals.
• Ability to monitor spaces for a safe and secure environment.
• Basic knowledge of emergency facility response procedures.
• Ability to comprehend instructions and communicate with customers.
• Familiarity with the seven SSPGS core competencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform building cleaning and grounds maintenance in schools and admin buildings.
• Operate cleaning and grounds tools and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs).
• Emergency personnel are required to report during inclement weather and may work overtime/night shifts.
• Provide supervisor with a current phone number and wear provided uniforms.
