Job summary

Maricopa Unified School District seeks a dedicated Custodian for the evening shift. This full-time, 11-month position involves cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas, plus some light maintenance as needed.

You will support cafeteria operations, assist with building access, and help prepare rooms for events while maintaining supply inventories. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, six months cleaning experience, and preferred bilingual abilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; six months cleaning or minor maintenance experience.
• Bilingual preferred.
• Arizona DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance card.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and vacuums classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, storage areas and lounges.
• Sweeps and mops floors, disposes of trash, cleans furniture and fixtures.
• Assists in cafeteria and opening up the building, disarming alarms, and setting up traffic control requirements.
• May perform minor maintenance and repair on buildings, fixtures, grounds and equipment.
• Transports equipment and assists in setting up rooms for meetings and events.
• Maintains an inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
