Maricopa Unified School District is seeking a Custodian to maintain a clean and secure school environment. The role is full-time, 11 months, with a morning schedule, under the district's classification system.
Responsibilities include cleaning, floor care, trash removal, and assisting with openings/opening procedures; minor repairs may be involved. Bilingual applicants are preferred, and a fingerprint clearance card is required.
Position TITLE: Custodian
CLASSIFICATION: Full-time 40 hrs a week, 11 month Employee (Morning Schedule)
SALARY: Approved Classifed Compensation Plan (Education and Experience)
GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES: To create a clean and secure environment within the school.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to perform the following physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation: critical sensory requirements include general vision, corrected to 20/20, hear or listen in the normal range (corrected) and speak and give directions clearly. Able to walk, stand, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, lift (exerting force up to 50 pounds), carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Dipolma GED required Six (6) months cleaning or minor maintenance work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skill. Bilingual preferred. Valid Arizona DPS IVP Fingeprint Clearance card.
