Job summary

The Chester County Intermediate Unit is seeking a Custodian Nightside for a full-time position based at the Child & Career Development Center in Coatesville, PA. Hours are 2pm–10pm, Monday through Friday, with an anticipated ASAP start and a 9/22/2026 closing date for applications.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and experience in school custodial work is preferred. Salary for 2026-2027 ranges from $20.65 to $22.53 per hour, with benefits and equal opportunity employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of institutional cleaning methods and processes preferred.
• Previous experience in a school custodial position preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain building facilities.
• Operate buffer, floor-care machines, vacuums, drills and other small power tools.
• Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables.
• Set up and breakdown tables and chairs for events.
• Assist with receipt, storage and distribution of supplies.
