Job summary

Williamsport Elementary School is seeking a Custodian to maintain the school facilities and support daily operations on the 2nd shift. The role requires high school completion and a willingness to perform a range of custodial tasks with reliability and attention to safety.

The position works 4 hours per day, full-year, reporting to the Facilities Operations Manager, and involves manual labor, equipment operation, and occasional repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations such as scrubbing, mopping, sweeping, waxing, and dusting using hand or mechanical tools.
• Protect school property by providing a visible presence to deter theft or trespassers.
• Monitor heating/air conditioning systems and report issues.
• Assist with minor emergency repairs as needed.
• Clean and care for the school grounds.
• Maintain work records and inventory of custodial equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrate courteous and professional demeanor to all stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
