Job summary

Meramec Valley R-III School District is seeking a full-time Custodian to maintain cleanliness of Nike/Robertsville Elementary Schools. The role covers cleaning all indoor areas, restocking supplies, and assisting with pest management and seasonal grounds tasks.

The position offers district-paid medical, dental, and life insurance and PEERS retirement. Immediate start with benefits and a competitive hourly rate. Involves responding to inquiries and ensuring facilities are secure at day’s end.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Clean indoor facilities including floors, walls, and surfaces.
• Respond to inquiries from staff, students, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Clean all indoor facilities including floors, walls, windows and surfaces in all rooms and hallways including restrooms, locker rooms, offices, classrooms, gymnasiums and cafeterias
• Use cleaning materials and techniques as directed
• Empty all wastebaskets
• Restock disposable items such as soap and paper towels
• Keep a running inventory of custodial supplies and request supplies as needed
• Make repairs to damaged furniture, doors, locks, window shades, etc
• Assist with pest management program
• Assist with seasonal grounds work such as snow, ice, leaf and trash removal and lawn care
• Respond to inquiries and direct to appropriate personnel for resolution
• Secure facilities and grounds at close of day or evening
• Respond to safety/operational concerns and notify appropriate personnel
• Other duties as may be assigned
