Job summary

Hardin County School District North Hardin High School in Radcliff, KY is seeking a full-time Custodian for the 2nd shift. The role covers 8 hours per day over 261 days per school year, with pay prorated for the 2026-2027 year and starting immediately.

The duties include cleaning classrooms, restrooms, gym, and offices; operating a range of cleaning equipment; reporting hazards; ensuring building security; and supporting events and summer projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic custodial knowledge and safety practices.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.
• Ability to learn schedules, procedures and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine custodial activities at the assigned District school site; sweep, scrub, mop, wax and polish floors and vacuum rugs and carpets.
• Clean classrooms, restrooms, locker rooms, cafeteria and offices; monitor gym events and maintain order and security.
• Clean drinking fountains, sinks, toilets, showers, mirrors; report hazards and maintenance needs.
• Lock/unlock doors, maintain security, follow safety procedures and assist with events or meetings.
