Job summary

Rockwood R-6 School District is hiring an Evening Custodian for Marquette Quadrant in Chesterfield, MO. The role supports multiple buildings with cleaning, maintenance, and event setup. Shifts run 2:30 PM–11:00 PM or 3:00 PM–11:30 PM, with a starting wage of $16.90 per hour and a full benefits package.

Responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, disinfecting restrooms, light maintenance, and assisting with safety and timekeeping. Requires physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, equipment and supplies including chemical precautions.
• Math skills to follow dilution labels for cleaners.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Ability to understand and use MSDS and safety labels.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop and vacuum various floors with manual and mechanical equipment.
• Keep building secured and locked.
• Clean and disinfect classrooms, surfaces, and restrooms.
• Monitor halls and grounds for debris; report hazards.
• Set up/clean after school events and provide building upkeep.
• Assist in reports after incidents and follow timekeeping procedures.
• Climb ladders up to six feet; support custodial staff as needed.
